Q. What is FTP?
FTP is a client-server protocol, which allows a user on one computer to transfer files to and
from another computer over a TCP/IP network. This is also the client program the user executes
to transfer files. In other words - FTP is a simple and convenient way to get files uploaded
and downloaded to and from your website.
Q. Can you recommend FTP software?
For windows users, we recommend to use WS-FTP and CuteFTP. For Mac users, we recommend to use
Fetch.

Q. How can I login FTP?
To upload your files via FTP software, you need to enter the following information with a
FTP software:
FTP Server: YourDomain.com
Username: Your Username
Password: Your Password
Please make sure that you have entered the correct info such as your your username and password.
Q. What directory do I upload my web files?
All of your files and subdirectories go into your public_html directory.
Q. Can I access FTP 365x24x7 to update my web site?
Yes, you can upload your files at any time you wish. We provide you with unlimited access to your
web site account via FTP, Front Page and our web-based control panel.
Q. How do I add an FTP account?
Log into our Cpanel, find menu "FTP" >> click on "Manage Accounts". You can a new FTP account
in that page. Please use different login and password for your main account.
Q. How do I create an FTP account for my sub-domain?
It is easy and simple. Once you create your sub-domain, such as bob.yourname.com. All you need to
do is to create a FTP account which has the same username as the name of your sub-domain. Then,
you can use the username (bob) to access the subdomain via FTP.
Q. What is anonymous FTP?
Anonymous FTP can allow anonymous FTP access to visitors wishing to download or upload files
to your web site. Use caution, as this will use bandwidth, and can quickly cause an extra fee
added if you go over the allowed monthly amount. You can enable (and disable) Anonymous FTP
access within the FTP Feature inside your Control Panel.
